Ilmatar receives Future Workplaces certification again in 2023  

In the summer of 2023, Ilmatar conducted its second Siqni employee survey. The results were once again very positive, and Ilmatar was awarded the Future Workplaces certificate for the second year in a row. Almost all Ilmatar employees 96%  (2022: 91%) responded to the survey, and the certification shows an outstanding company culture with content employees and excellent understanding of employees.  Read More

Report: Offshore wind power creates jobs and has vast regional economic impacts on Åland and mainland Finland

A recent economic impact assessment conducted by Ramboll, a global engineering, architecture, and consultancy company, and commissioned by Ilmatar, a Nordic energy company, highlights the significant regional economic benefits of offshore wind power on Åland and mainland Finland. Ramboll evaluated the direct and indirect economic effects of Ilmatar's two planned offshore wind power parks, Stormskär and Väderskär, to be constructed in Åland's territorial waters, using various scenarios. Ilmatar’s hybrid farm enters commercial production – 36 wind turbines set for year end completion

Built in Alajärvi, South Ostrobothnia, Ilmatar’s hybrid farm and its first completed wind turbines commenced production in early June. Currently, eight turbines are already producing renewable energy with a total rated capacity of 48 MW. By the end of 2023, the production of renewable energy will reach full capacity of 220 MW with 36 wind turbines. In the next few years, the hybrid farm is due for an extension with a 150 MWp solar farm and a complementary 25 MW battery storage. Read More
