PROCUREMENT MANAGER (Balance of Plant, Renewable Energy Projects)

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to manage the procurement of electrical and civil Balance of Plant in our projects in Sweden. In this position, you will be responsible for Ilmatar’s power plants’ e/c BoP procurement. Your role will involve working with internal and external stakeholders, and a wide range of local and global suppliers in order to drive value and commercial solutions for Ilmatar.

This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded person who already has experience in developing procurement processes as well as previous experience working with large scale industrial projects. We are looking for a self-driven team member with a “we can do this” attitude to join our team and Ilmatar’s journey as a forerunner in the field of renewable energy.

Main responsibilities

  • Establish and develop relationships with key suppliers
  • Manage tenders for both evaluation and selection of suppliers
  • Lead negotiations, complete price agreements and implement framework agreements with key suppliers with the help of Ilmatar’s legal team
  • Work as a key member of the project investment team and collaborate with Ilmatar project development on current and future projects
  • Actively investigate for new products, new technology, and progress with new supplier on-boarding and qualifications
  • Ensure timely delivery of the supplier’s deliverables and actively engage with Ilmatar’s Construction team to ensure lessons learned and constant improvement
  • Develop and implement processes and structures in Procurement & Supply Chain Management

What we expect from you

  • A commercial or technical degree (M.Sc. or B.Sc.)
  • Understanding of the electrical and civil work needs of industrial scale renewable energy projects
  • Previous experience in establishing supplier relationships and understanding of the importance of supplier relations
  • A good level of technical understanding of different components (eBoP, cBoP) of an energy production plant
  • + 5 years of experience working with large scale industrial projects and basic knowledge and understanding of related contracts
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English are required
